Advantages of aluminum substrate PCB
a. The heat dissipation is significantly better than the standard FR-4 structure.
b. The dielectric used is usually 5 to 10 times the thermal conductivity of traditional epoxy glass and 1/10 the thickness.
c. The heat transfer index is more effective than traditional rigid PCB.
d. You can use copper weights lower than those shown in the IPC recommended chart.
Application of aluminum substrate PCB

There are three differences between fiberglass board and aluminum substrate PCB
The important components of LED fluorescent tube are: circuit board, LED chip and driving power supply. Common circuit boards are divided into two types: aluminum substrates and fiberglass boards. Comparing the price of fiberglass board and aluminum substrate, the price of fiberglass board will be much cheaper, but the performance of aluminum substrate will be better than that of fiberglass board.

According to different materials and manufacturing processes, fiberglass boards can be divided into three types: double-sided copper foil fiberglass boards, perforated copper foil fiberglass boards, and single-sided copper foil fiberglass boards. Of course, the price of fiberglass boards made of different materials will be different. The prices of fiberglass panels made of different materials and technologies are also different. The heat dissipation effect of LED fluorescent tube and glass fiber board is not as good as that of LED fluorescent tube containing aluminum substrate.
