Use AD13 to export PCB coordinate file

1, use AD13 to open a PCB file that you want to export the coordinate file, then choose “Edit” → “Origin” → “Reset” to Reset the Origin of the PCB file. This step can be omitted if you have already set the origin. The specific operation is shown in the figure below:

2, reset after the origin, in the “File (File)” drop-down menu, select “AssemblyOutputs output (assembly)” – > “Gerneratespickandplacefiles”, “PickandPlaceSetup” options dialog.

3, in the dialog box, select the output format you want (coordinate file format, generally select TXT format) and output unit (measure the unit of coordinates, generally select “metric system”), after the selection is complete, click ok options can export the coordinate file.

4. The exported coordinate file is stored in the folder where the PCB file is located (if the PCB file is on the desktop, the coordinate file will be exported to the desktop). The coordinate file is usually named “PickPlaceforXXXX”.

Open the coordinate file to see the X and Y coordinates of each device.

Export coordinate files from PCB files with PADS

1. After opening the PCB File, click File- “CAMPlus”, as shown below:

Step 2 The coordinates of one layer have been exported. If you want to export the coordinates of other layers, simply set Side (select the desired layer from its drop-down options) and click Run.

3. When all the coordinates you need are generated, go to PADSProjects and open the Cam folder inside. When \PADSProjects\Cam is used, you can see a folder corresponding to the filename of the PCB, in which is the exported coordinate file. The exported coordinate file is a double-layer board, so there are only two files with the suffix.318, the first file can not be used.
