Is PCB design difficult?

It is not difficult to learn PCB design. The software is just a tool. If you have computer foundation, you can learn how to use PCB software in two weeks. The key is to understand the electronic circuit, small series of suggestions can buy some video tutorials on the Internet, their own spare time while learning while operating, fan Billion video is good, choose a set of suitable for their own.

Speaking of PCB, many friends will think that it can be seen everywhere around us, from all household appliances, all kinds of accessories in computers to all kinds of digital products, as long as electronic products almost all use PCB, so what is PCB on earth? A PCB is a PrintedCircuitBlock, which is a printed circuit board for electronic components to be placed on. A copperplated base plate is printed and etched out of the etching circuit.

PCB can be divided into single, double and multilayer boards. All kinds of electronics are integrated into the PCB. On a basic single-layer PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side and the wires are concentrated on the other. So we need to make holes in the board so that the pins can go through the board to the other side, so the pins of the parts are welded to the other side.

Because of this, the front and back sides of such a PCB are called part surfaces and weld surfaces respectively. A double-layer board can be seen as two single-layer boards glued together, with electronic components and wiring on both sides of the board. Sometimes it is necessary to connect a single wire from one side to the other side of the board through a guide hole. Guide holes are small holes in the PCB filled or coated with metal that can be connected to wires on both sides. At present, many computer motherboards use 4 or even 6 layers OF PCB, while graphics cards generally use 6 layers of PCB. Many high-end graphics cards like nVIDIAGeForce4Ti series use 8 layers of PCB, which is the so-called multi-layer PCB. The problem of connecting lines between layers is also encountered on multi-layer PCBS, which can also be achieved through guide holes.

Because of the multi-layer PCB, sometimes the guide holes do not need to penetrate the whole PCB. Such guide holes are called buried holes and blind holes because they only penetrate a few layers. Blind holes connect several layers of internal PCBS to surface PCBS without penetrating the entire board. Buried holes are only connected to the internal PCB, so light is not visible from the surface. In a multilayer PCB, the entire layer is directly connected to the ground wire and the power supply.

So we classify each layer as signal layer, power layer or ground layer. If the parts on the PCB require different power supplies, they usually have more than two power and wire layers. The more PCB layers you use, the higher the cost. Of course, using more layers of PCBS helps to provide signal stability.
