Type of PCB pad
Type of PCB pad
Square pad – printed board components are large and few, and printed wire is simple to use. This kind of pad is easy to realize when making PCB by hand.
Circular pad – widely used in single and double sided printed boards with regular arrangement of components. If the density of the plate allows, the pad can be larger, welding will not fall off.
Island pad – the connection between pad and pad is integrated. Often used in vertical irregular installation. For example, this kind of pad is often used in radio recorders.
Teardrop pad – when the pad is connected to a thin wire is often used to prevent the pad from peeling, wiring and disconnection. This pad is commonly used in high frequency circuits.
Polygonal pads — used to distinguish pads with similar outer diameter but different aperture, easy machining and assembly.
Oval pad – This pad has sufficient area to enhance stripping resistance and is commonly used for dual in-line devices.
Open pad – in order to ensure that after the wave soldering, so that the manual repair of the pad hole is not blocked by solder is often used.
