PCB blanking, hole and shape processing can adopt die blanking method, for processing simple PCB or PCB with not very high requirements can adopt blanking method. Suitable for the production of low level and large quantity PCB with not very high requirement and not very high shape requirement, with low cost.

Punch:

Production of large batch, the type and number of holes and complex shape of single-sided paper substrate and double-sided non-metallic hole epoxy glass cloth substrate, usually using one or several die punching.

Shape processing:

Printed board production volume large single panel and double panel shape, usually by die. According to the size of the printed board, it can be divided into upper and falling die.

Composite processing:

In order to shorten the manufacturing cycle and improve productivity, composite die is used to process the holes and shapes of single panel at the same time.

To process printed board with mold, the key is the design and processing of mold, which requires professional technical knowledge. In addition, the installation and debugging of mold are also very important. At present, most of the mold of PCB manufacturers are processed by external factories.

Precautions for mold installation:

1. According to the die design calculation of blanking force, the size of the die, the closure height of the choice of press (including type, tonnage).

2. Start the punch, check the clutch, brake, slider and other parts are normal, the operating mechanism is reliable, there must be no continuous impact phenomenon.

3. The pad iron under the die, generally 2 pieces, must be ground on the grinder at the same time, to ensure that the die is installed parallel and vertical. Pad iron placement of the leap position that does not prevent material falling at the same time as close to the mold center.

4. Prepare several sets of pressing plate and T-head pressing plate screws for corresponding use with the mold. The front end of the press plate should not touch the straight wall of the lower die. Emery cloth should be placed between the contact surfaces and the screws must be tightened.

5. When installing the mold, pay attention to the screws and nuts on the lower die not to touch the upper die (the upper die drops and closes).

6. When adjusting the mold, try to use manual rather than motor.

7. In order to improve the blanking performance of the substrate, the paper substrate should be heated. Its temperature to 70 ~ 90℃ is the best.

The hole and shape of the die blanking printed board have the following quality defects:

Raised around the hole or the copper foil warped or layered; There are cracks between holes; Hole position deviation or hole itself is not vertical; Burr; Rough section; The printed board is warped into the bottom of the pot; Scrap jumping up; Waste jam.

The inspection and analysis steps are as follows:

Check whether the punching force and rigidity of the punch press are enough; Die design is reasonable, rigid enough; Convex, concave die and guide column, guide sleeve machining accuracy is achieved, installation is concentric, vertical. Whether the fit clearance is even. The gap between convex and concave is too small or too large to produce quality defects, which is the most important problem in mold design, processing, debugging and use. Convex and concave die edges are not allowed to be rounded and chamfered. Punch is not allowed to have taper, especially when punching both normal and inverted cones are not allowed. In production, we should always pay attention to whether the edge of convex and concave die is worn. Discharge mouth is reasonable, small resistance. Push the material board, the material rod is reasonable, enough force.The thickness of the plate and the binding force of the substrate, the amount of glue, and the binding force of copper foil, heat and humidity and time are also factors to be considered in the analysis of blanking quality defects.
